I'm toying with the idea of selling my Healey 3000 and getting a Cooper. I
guess I'm thinking I could get on pretty well done for what I could get for
my Healey. Does anybody have any good pointers on where I could look for
one in the States. I'm in NH.

Don't buy one from the UK, sorry guys but the mini's out of the UK are all
rusted out. Try Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. These countries
tend to have less cancer. Importing a mini i think would be cheaper than
buying one from a US dealer that imports for profits. Just my opinon.

We are not stealing them in the dark of the night Mate. You blokes are the
ones selling them, at a princely sum if I might add, much more than they can
ever fetch with you skinflints - lol.

I know that Norwegians traditionally import their minis from Germany. In any
case, you'd better make sure you - in advance - have a seller you trust
explicitly - I can only imagine how annoying it must be to travel from the
US to Europe to buy a Mini, only to discover that you don't find the car you
want, and end up buying somethign you didn't really want, or (even worse),
travel home empty-handed.
Of course, the advantage of buying a mini from a professional importer in
the US, is that you know what you get, and if something turns out to be
rotten, you can go visit them to yell at them in person - yelling across the
atlantic is a bit fruitless.
Good luck!

Still think the best way to go is to travel to the UK, buy a mini, and
drive it around. You can get all your problems taken car of by any number
of mini shops and drop it off at port either north or south. It gets to the
US in about two weeks and you save enough money on the car to pay for your
travel expenses.

Why not just go to the CARS FOR SALE section at MiniMania? There are always
plenty of cars for sale all around the country.
