Hi
Overtightened the tappets?? Not sure. I was told the engine was
running fine before I got it so I hope not. how do I check that??
I tried the spraying the water thing and it didnt seem to make much
difference.... should it?

Hi Tom.
could it possibly be a kinked fuel line , ?
by this I mean , There is enough fuel passing through the pipe to feed the
engine on idle and to alow it to rev up,, but not enough to alow it to
accelorate on demand,

Hello
Turns out to be the electronic dizzy - had it tuned and problem
persisted... changed the whole ignition over to non-electronic and now
it is sweet.... mad!!
