Curiously, I'm about 10 years too young to have ever had to learn to use
a slide rule. Now the really sobering thought is that that puts the
youngest of the slide rule generation just 10 to 15 years from
retirement. They'll be extinct in the not too distant future.

Getting back to the problem of STIFF gear,
reduce the amount of Viagra in the gearbox and put it in to the shock's
instead :-)

speak for yourself here in the colonies we still use a slide ruler, because
we are so behind you civilised countries like the UK that we havn't invented
the calculator yet

been quiet latley, did my self some major damage to my shoulder and upper
arm and using the comp has been a strugle. Looks like they'll need to open
me up and re-attach the tendons in my radial cuff (what ever that is) to my
colar bone. I streched them beyond there normal reach and they have snapped
bak into place...unfortunatly the wrong place and they have become lodged in
my ball and socket joint of the shoulder....so in much pain
