Some years ago, a UK Moke club member needed a driver side mirror for
his very early Portugese production Moke, apparently identical to the
final Australian production models.
He couldn't find anything suitable anywhere in the UK, so he did the
obvious and contacted one of the Aussie Moke clubs.
"Sure, a late model Moke side mirror, nah worrys mate" and one was duly
posted off to him.
When it got there, there was puzzlement all around. Not only did it not
look the least bit like what he was after, but they'd never seen this
type of mirror before!
What a parts supplier in the UK "KNOWS" about Minis may turn out to be
quite completely wrong for cars from other parts of the world. After
all, any British mini specialist can tell you, everyone "KNOWS" that
Clubman minis have concealed hinges, right?

See what I mean...
There was a different filler neck used on some export models. All UK cars
had the internal location (the neck rolls inwards for the cap to locate).
There were some export cars where the neck rolls outwards, mainly USA and
Canada, I believe.
There are different designs/methods of holding the caps on. The Rover
locking cap uses the key to rotate part of the cap while the bulk of the cap
stays still. Earlier non-locking caps just twist on, of course.
Not sure about the Waso cap though.

I'm pretty sure that a Waso cap is just a replacement for the standard UK
Mini one (one of my Mini's had one). Hold the cap in place and twist the
key. The little bars push out into the locking cutouts in the filler neck.

I will double check that it doesn't fit before I bung it on Ebay
