Help me guys..

I have a 91 Mini Cooper, and she's looking sad.  Holes in the scuttle,
holes in the A panels, frightening floors and sills, slop in the
steering, no cones to speak of on the front and so much blue smoke at
start up I have to wait 5 minutes before I reverse….

One spot has fallen and her white roof has gone beige..

Should I take the plunge and restore or should I arrange a memorial
service and dig a deep hole?  I really don't want to do this but when
is it time to call it quits?

Hi, Sounds like a basket case, but ultimately the decision is yours.

Sounds like a worthy car for a rebuild around the log book ;-)

You need a new shell (?2000) a new engine (POA) and all the rest.  What is
the interior like?  The question is, do you have the money?  If you do you
could have a car that is better than new because it will have been done
right in the first place.

Give it away to someone who will nurse it back to health! u could break it
for spares but if the engine needs rebuilding & the bodys shot u prob wont
get much, the smoke may be valve guides,

Steve.
