After thawing out the mini, cleaning the radiator and putting it all back
together etc I have noticed that the temperature gauge moves but not very
far from the cold position.  Could I have somehow affected the gauge while
thawing the car?  Can the mixture of the radiator fluid keep the car from
warming up?

Thanks

David

Check the Thermostat. It should be fully closed when cold. The Ice may have
damaged it.

Hi David,
as Ray said,, go fro the thermostat first,, put plenty of easing oil on the
nuts first,, after new t/stat is fitted ,,
get ready for any leaks that might show up with the higher temperature,
Good luck
