Hi all,

I am looking to start working out what the interior of my mini is going to
look like, Would anyone here have on file any sort of template of the
dashboard that I could poss work on to help design the graphics that is
going on the dash.

I find the 1st URL the most detailed with the top curvature information.
As you can see. their sizes do vary abit. I guess it's also dependant on the
thickness of the fabric along with how deep you want your dashboard to sit
in and the method of holding it in place.

I myself are also in the process of refurnishing my Mini's interrior and
find them a good reference. But I do recommend that you measure the size
yourself just to make sure because you may want it to sit differently. :)

aha! fame at last!

I am the er...mad...Scott. My dash template allows for the card bits
that surround the eyeball vents and come out to the door seals. Add
10mm each end and then sand to your exact minis size is my
recommendation. I built mine 1160mm and it fitted nicely. All minis
are different!

Oooh ooooh, I'm famous too! he he.

The plan linked above is specifically for cars with top and bottom dash
rails. As Scott says, they do vary a wee bit based on how tightly the top
dash rail is fitted. Hence making it a bit large (say 5mm) and sanding to
suit is a good plan. I actually found that my bought walnut veneer dash is
11mm higher one side than the other, hence why Flippy and I actually went
out and measure the aperture rather than copying my asymmetric dash!

I tried this myself, but botched the job rather badly when using a
template I found on the interweb. In other words: Make sure that the
template you download is for your car, and measure everything yourself ;)
