Hi all,

Quick question, is it possible to test for cracked/broken piston rings,
cracked pistons or other bore and piston related problems with the pistons
in the car?

Cheers

Check your compression firstly dry then add oil and compare the difference.

One tests the overall and second seals the ring/piston and checks the
valves.

Do a Google search on a leak down test. This is a more detailed test
than a compression test and should give you a better idea.

Cheers,

Kelley
