Hi

I have a couple of bits to touch up on our Open Classic, i have used a dupli
colour spray before but found it a little lighter than the rest or the car.
Does anyone have any experience of the best one to use (do Rover do one that
is better?).

thanks

Gary

Gary

I've used the Rover BRG touch-up stick on my '92 Cooper and the colour match
was very good, indistinguishable in colour from the surrounding paint.

I had a 92 cooper, had the front resprayed and what a surprise, Rover did
about 6 shades of BRG between 89 and 95, and they didnt make or take notes,
so you have to color match it, spray cans dont match, they tend to be as
close as possible.
Seems like they mixed the paint by guess work at the factory.

hiya
go to any good automotive paint supplier and they will mix the paint there
and then and put it into an aerosol for you.

To get the correct paint from Rover you'll have to get the Paint code off
the VIN (chassis) plate.

Like Jono says there are a few shades of BRG for different Rover models.
Ironically the Open Classic one is remarkably similar to BMWs 1990s
BRG....!!
