Hi there,
I'm hunting for a pair of disc brakes for my mini. It seems the best way
to get disc brakes to get a whole set from a 1275GT series mini or the
pos-1984 mini as they call comes with standard disc.
I've heard recommendation that there're metro disc brakes, and they do
not really fit into a mini without some modifications. Is this true..?
And what are metro parts.. like sometimes I hear about metro head for 1275cc
engine.. How is it different from standard parts?
What is the term metro in regards to?
Thanks,
Yako^^

If you are unfamilliar with metro cars see

GT type brakes work well for a road car and are easily fitted. Some Metros
had vented discs which can fit easily but really require a bit of thought to
avoid positive camber.

MetroBrakes work fine on a mini, use mini hibs, a host convers and the
discs/calipers fit perfectly..
however, a metro hub will fit a mini, but it messes up the camber settings,
so its generally best to fit the discs/calipers to the mini hubs.
