Has anyone converted a twinpoint 1.3i to work with a non-verto clutch?  I
believe there's a timing 'device' on the flywheel.  A trigger for an impulse
coil in the ignition circuit (crankshaft sensor?).

Just curious to see whether its been done..

thanks for looking

chris.

According to the microfiche the 'reluctor ring' appeared on the SPi cars. So
I would expect a swap to non-Verto is quite difficult.

I was getting the impression it wasn't easy!
I want to swap gearboxes on my twinpoint for an A+ 1275GT C/R box with 3.4FD
that I've had MED recon.  I just thought it would make sense to fit the
(lighter and stronger) non-verto setup to it at the same time.  Looks like
more investigation is req'd!

thanks for looking

chris
