Why would someone buy these?  Why would someone pay so much?  Why did I
throw a set in the bin?

How did you come to be in possession of a set?

My mini van (dearly departed many years ago) came with a set fitted for
about 2 minutes.  They were fitted the wrong way around too!!  I don't know
how someone actually came up with the idea and took themselves seriously ;)

my first mini had thos on... one came loose  after having fitted new tyres
to it :(

having such huge spaers allowed the mini to have metro (non - vented) discs
and calipers, with 10" mini special alloys sitting _next_ to the alloys...

all just covered by grp 5 arches..

(it didnt handle that well either)
