Well, I got my britax seatbelts but one of them seems to be stuck. It is as
if the pendulum has it permanently locked. Has anyone had any experience of
getting these reconed and if so, how much and where from? I would rather
know what I am talking about before a complain to the guy. Is it possible to
get into them your self?

"No user servicable parts inside"?

I'd be very sceptical about using an inertia reel seatbelt which had
been dismantled and reasembled.

Cheers.  I wonder if there are any companies who refurbish them.  I have to
agree with you about the safety of it!!

Try the dubiously named Quickfit Safety Belt Service on 0208 206 0101. They
are *the* place in the UK for period belts.

Leave it for a week and the pixies will fix it for you.  I placed it flat on
the floor and gave it a tap, hey presto.  In the post it appears to have
wound itself too tight on the reel and then the jarring in transport locked
the mechanism.  Works perfectly now- hallelujah!!

Classic look heaven, Paddy Hopkirk buckets and Britax seat belts ;)
