What if the engine stops on a compression stroke, then rolls back, forcing
fuel back in to the manifold ,
looks like smoke coming from the carb, I think most people have seen this
happen when the ignition timing is out,
this raw fuel/gas leaks back , either through a faulty diaphragm, or through
a poor connection on the vacuum pipe,
when the engine is cranked , it explodes and blows the weakest connection
off
