I am interested in buying a moke in the US. Only interested in models in VG+
condition. I am on the east coast. Thanks, Roger.

I wonder how many Mokes ever mad it to North America.
The last Aussie Mokes were made in early 1982. Only cars from mid 1979
onwards are galvanised, and the earlier, non galvanised ones are showing
their age by now, even in our mild climate.

I remember reading an article on Mokes in the early 90's - that said they
were being built again in Portugal - no idea if that's still the case
though.

The tooling went to Portugal and they were built there in small numbers
for a little while. Portugese Mokes have the same mechanicals as UK
Minis of the same period.

There WAS a real nice one at Livingstone Trades Training institute in
Livingstone Zambia in the early seventies when I taught there - had a
1275 stage 3 in it. Could not be driven, as the 87 octane fuel was not
sufficient and Aviation gas was not available. Engine had been in a
club racer previously.
