Hi there,
I recently picked up a 1966 mini van, family owned from new,the first until
2001 and then the next to 2004, so I am therefore the third owner.
It has only done 46000 miles and is in very good condition, never welded but
could do with a respray to get the best out of it.
I have just got it through the MOT and was thinking about taking it to the
Mini show at Stoneleigh to sell. Does anybody have an idea of what they
think it is worth?
I only have to sell it as I've got no room to keep it under cover, and it's
too good to keep outside.
Any help would be appreciated.
Simon.

With 12 months MOT, at least ?800 unless it looks a total mess. If it is in
good condition then take it up from there... When selling it, "good
condition" will need to be backed up.

Well it's totally original with no welding needed, every thing works and it
has got so much character I'm in two minds if I should really sell it.
It's a great little van and an excellent drive. So when I say good
condition, I really mean it.

Any rust showing through the wings or scuttle panel?
If I was you I'd keep it. I would have kept mine rather than getting the
pickup if it wasn't for the 'king huge dent :D

Only a little at the top of the wings around the headlights.
It's got to go, I'm going to take it to Stoneleigh on Easter Sunday and see
what sort of money I can get for it.

Seeing what people are prepared to pay is the best way. If what you say is
accurate, 1000-3000 UK? but as I say it depends on what it look like

It is worth whatever you can get for it, but Minivans in solid,
original condition are comparatively rare and can be highly sort
after. On the other hand, you need to get two people in one place who
want it. A serious classic car auction which is well catalogued and
advertised would be your best bet. Put a reserve on it of about
GBP2500. You don't want it to go for less. If you are determined to
look for a buyer at Stoneleigh, start off asking at least 3500.

I have decided to take her to stoneleigh at the weekend and place an advert
in the window asking for the best offer on the day over ?1500 and see what
sort of response I get.
So if you know anyone interested, please let them know.
