Since I am based in New Zealand, metro turbo motors aren't exactly
thick on the ground. In fact I have never seen one.
What I do have is a late 70's 1300 motor from an all-agro(Allegro)
Bearing in mind this is an A series as against A+, what are the
differences between the MG Metro turbo motor and a stock 1275 A
series.
Head, cam, clutch etc.
The reason for asking is that it is feasible to get a turbo and
manifold out from the UK, but not a whole motor, I won't be able to
afford that cost of shipping. If it is semi-plausible to bolt this to
a rebuilt 1300 then I will probably try it. If the motor is not going
to handle it for more than 1000kms then I will flag the idea, and
probably move to intercooling as an easier way of getting more horses.
So, please tell me about the differences, or a project like it you
have done, or drop me an email if you know of a metroturbo, especially
if it is NZ...

i am thinking of fiting a turbo from a p106td to a mini but mounting it over
the clutch housing in front rear way

Nice, that will require some pretty convoluted manifold work won't it?
How are you planning to set that up?
