Fast (or slow) indicators

Hi everybody, me again!

Thanks to all your kelp and advice, I have fixed my electrics problem.  A
bit of 'dremmeling' later on the fusebox, and new connecters all over and
i'm sorted!

Apart from 2 things
1) my indicators flash (really) slowly. its a bit hard to simulate the
effect but they are really erratic.  Not like when there's a bulb out but
the opposite speed if you get my meaning. lol
2) I noticed from previous posts that there should be 2 inline fuses behind
the air filter.  I've just got four wires (mostly purple/green mixes) going
into a multi connector.  What ampage fuses should I replace this with?

p.s. I've just found out that my clutch slave cylinder has been leaking
clutch fluid for the past few days. that means, no clutch, and no shops
open!
p.p.s And I had an 2-hour history exam at 9.30 this morning. Bank holidays,
don't you just love 'em!

Karen
Thanks for all your help

We had a lot of bother with indicators working intermittently
(no I don't mean the yes its working, no its not, yes its working, no ...
joke)
They would work at the first couple of junctions, then give up for the rest
of the journey,
or maybe not work for a few days.
I bought a new flasher unit (made in China) from Halfords,
Checked all the earths and bulb holders etc.
Bought another Halfords flasher unit, OK for a month or so,
then same problems again.
After the fourth Halfords flasher, I saved all my pennies and went to the
Rover dealer.
Took over a week to get it, but the problem went away, has not come back.
Turned out to be about the same price.

So the moral is, if you have a cheapo Chinese flasher unit, get the Rover
one.

But check all the earths and lamps first.

Lock.

This problem seems to crop up in waves! (see above post!)

Thanks for the tip Lock

You may want to get an electronic flasher can - this seems to sort out
the problem even if the resistance differs each side.

Either a 3 prong or 2 prong both work.
