I bought my third classic Mini tonight and this is the one I have been
searching for.
1961 Austin Mini, first sold in California, always been in the California
dessert hence pretty rot free, floor start switch, external hinges, sliding
windows. And the best part was I found it in a mere 5 miles form my
workplace.

Hmmm what a find. Check it is the original engine they are not '61 valve
rockers, and alternators came much later.

I don't believe it's the original engine also. I am not going to do a
concourse restoration as I want this to be a daily drive in SoCal.
I have an MG Metro engine in UK awaiting shipment but I think I am going to
go for a local 1380 here.
Thanks Guys.

garage while she drives a Ford Focus over there!
Good luck with your rebuild.
