Has anyone else had the same problem as me fitting new solid front subframe
mounts where the hole don't and completely refuse to line up without a lot
of swearing? LOL

Yes! use a same size as hole screw driver and a jack against the body,
should do the trick

skinned knuckles, cramped conditions, loosing nuts that sit in the bonnet
shuts and learning to turn the air blue come with owning and maintaining a
mini yourself, along with a lot of satisfaction that you did it yourself (at
least twice before it was right!)
solid subframe mounts are excellent but I kept std rubber mounts on the
bulkhead/front-subframe rear-mounts. Solid tower mounts and teardrops were
enough I thought for a road car.
