I asked for a quote from MS recycling any other good part dealers out there?
I am based in Houston TX.

Should I go with a 97 engine or a 98 or 99?

Thanks again for any help.

plenty of engines and loads of choice---now you are going to rebuild the
motor from top to bottom are'nt you?
you can rebuild to any spec you like (budget allowing)---you know its funny
there am i trying to buy big block v8 from the usa and folks are trying to
get (what we call) jap crap---based in the uk--if you want a motor let me
know

those motors are really turds. you'd be best off by stuffing in a '91.
go here and read up:
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/DSM1gina2g/
www.magnusmotorsports.com
http://www.roadraceengineering.com/1gcasin2g.htm

road/race even has a plug and play adapter for wiring now so this is not too
much more involved that swapping in another 2G motor.
join the yahoo dsm1gina2g group and check out the archives. this motor swap
is tested and proven. putting in another 7 bolt motor is not the best plan
here.

I've always wondered what it would be like to have a turbo'd triple-rotor
Wankel engine in my little Eclipse clone with AWD.  The Wankel rotary
engines need to be revved way up for performance, but they are
incredibly mass/HP efficient -- there's a reason Mazda RX-7s were made
to race in a different class.

Regards,
Mark

mark, the 4 banger in your car is one of the best motors ever made and will
support 500 hp on stock internals. it is quite a bit different that the 7
bolt motor that the original poster has.
hit the forums and read up. much of what you need to do to get the car to
move is cheap and easy. guys have broke into the 12's on the drag strip with
no more that the free mods, a boost controller and a cat-back exhaust.
if you sold your car to me, i would part it out just like i did my '91. it
is worth far more in bits than it is as a driver......

Please elaborate.  How do I get my 1990 Jeep Eagle Talon Turbo AWD car's
engine to crank out 500 HP for cheap?

Thanks for the advice All.

I am thinking about maybe just parting this car out and getting a new car.

Any ideas of where to look/advertise for parting it out?
