All,
A neighbor has a 1991 Mitsu Mirage.  It was recently backed into in a
parking lot and took on minor damage on the driver door (minor being a
relative term - the dent is about 18 inches wide - 8 inches high and
1/2 inch to an inch deep at the max).  Ever since the accident - the
car won't start.  It turns over fine but won't start - it doesn't even
putter like it even wants to start.  I suspect it is not getting fuel
- which leads me to my question to the group.....

Does this car have a fuel shut off switch ?  Some cars have such a
switch so if the vehicle is in an accident that breaks a fuel line -
the fuel pump will shut off as not to flood the street with fuel.  It
is typically easy to reset these shut off switches but I can not find
it on the vehicle ....

I've scoured the manual but can't find anything....Any help would be
greatly appreciated....

No such device exists that I know of. It's sounds more like a anti-theft
situation.

I kind of figured no such device existed ..... what do you mean "anti-theft
situation" ????  Is there some sort of anti theft switch ?

The manual does not mention any such device - even in the anti-theft
section.....

Excuse my ignorance --- It's not my car - I'm trying to help a neighbor with
their situation.

Well, it may have severed a wire or damaged the locking mechanism. That may
have disabled the car. Try unlocking the door with the key.
