Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get a service manual for an Outlander LS
2005 AWD.

Thanks in advance.

At a guess, I'd say the dealer you bought the car from ... have you asked?

   Hi,
Yes we have ebay, but I don't trust it. Too many complaints of
goods not being received. I would prefer a hard copy that covers the whole
vehicle rather than a ROM that may be lacking in info.

   Thanks.

   Hi,
I was hoping to get a third party manual. The dealer has already
made enough money from the options.

   Thanks.

A third party manual won't be as good as the factory manual.  I believe all
the new manuals are available only in CD format.  The ones on e-bay are most
likely copies.  However, there are sources on the net that will sell fartory
CD-roms at resonable rates, if you don't trust e-bay.  Gees, for $5.00 USD
you wouldn't be taking much of a chance.

   Hi,
Thanks for the reply but I'm more against paying someone $5US +
currency exchange rate + currency conversion charges (~$8AUD) without
receiving the CDROM, on principal. But you are correct it isn't a great deal
of money.

Mitsubishi have a subscription scheme online but I'm not sure how much
information the subscription allows or wether it applies to Australian
vehicles. Has anyone used the service and is it worth the effort ?

   Thanks.

Yea, I saw that service too.  I got the impression that it was one of those
sites where you ask the question, and they give you the answer, but nothing
more.  It's intended for independant service shops that need to service
Mitsu vehicles, and may not have the latest manuals on hand.  Other OEMs
also offer the service for their vehicles. It's a way to get service
information to independant service shops.  For the amount of times you'd use
your subscription, it's probably not worth it.  It would be cheaper to buy
the manual.  If your manual doesn't answer your question, ask it here, there
are some knowledgable people here.
If there is not a disclaimer ( for Canada and USA cars only for example) I
would suspect it covers all countries, but I don't know that for sure.

I have a 2003 Eclipse and it's surprising how many times I check the manual.
Not for repairs, the car's been perfect, but just for general interest, or
information on how to add things, maintenace schedules, specs, etc.  I don't
buy anything, without the service manual, it's a condition of sale, for me.
Everything you will ever need to know to repair your vehicle will be in the
factory service manual.  However, that said, there is still alot of
information that only experieance (yours or someone elses) will be able to
provide.
While the subscription will give you the information needed to  repair a
problem, there may be a better/ cheaper way to do the repair than the
factory authorized way.
For example, replaceing the water pump, when doing the timing belt, will
save you money down the road.

Buy the factory service manual.

   Hi,
I contacted the dealer about the service manual and they replied
that there is no service manual for the outlander.
