eclipse trans stays in high gear,help!

It work good in reverse, and goes in gear but it is in high gear. Can
anyone help me.

Sounds like its in 2nd gear "limp" mode. Take it to a transmission shop for
a diagnosis. Be sitting down when they tell you what it could cost for a
rebuild.
