Eagle talon throtle position sensor

'91 Eagle Talon Turbo 16V DOHC

Howdy all. I got my Talon out of the shop (rebuilt ECM) and they noted
that the throttle position sensor needs to be replaced. Occasionally
the engine will hammer and acceleration will suddenly cut off during
acceleration especially at higher RPMS (throttle open, I guess?). After
googling around a bit, I think what they say makes sense. What do y'all
think?

The TPS is just that, a sensor. It doesn't control the throttle at all. It
is adjustable and quite easily. Describe symptoms and what are the ECU
codes?
