I have to rebuild my engine so I need parts for it. It's Lancer GTi 16v,
1991, 1836ccm, 100 kw, 4g67. In my country I can't find parts for it.
I can order engine kit (pistons, piston rings, bearings, gasket set....)
online but in catalogue http://www.importperformanceparts.net/ my engine
doesn't exist (4g67). Only similar engine (1836ccm) is from Hyundai
Elantra(93-95, 4GCN) and it have same bore (81.5mm) and stroke (88mm). I
can't find additional information about that kit so I don't know are those
parts adequate for my engine. If somebody have those information please
help.
thx in advance.

I have found engine from Hyundai Lantra 1.8 GT ('94) and my friend inserted
it into my vehicle. Engine is the same on first look, runs great, I am very
satisfied, but there is one thing that bothers me. In idle engine retrives
white smoke but it doesn't have any particular smell, on oil or gasoline for
example. 'check-engine' light is 'on' after engine replacement so my
question is should I be concerned about it?. My assumption is that lambda is
not working fine but not sure about that. Check engine wasn't 'on' before
with old engine even it had burned pistons (pistons were broken between
piston rings)
Maybe ECU isn't same and that is reason for check-engine light?
once again, engine runs excellent, steady while idling, not smoking after
1200 rpm
