Hi all
I've traced my dead engine down to a faulty fuel pump on our 1999 Galant
4 cyl, (145,000 miles). The car starts and runs with a spray of ether
in the intake, so it's definitely a fuel problem. I get no fuel output
when putting 12v to #2 on the pump relay, and when I checked the
connector at the top of the gas tank, the 12v positive male post was
discolored from heat. Also, an ohms check across the positive and
negative at the pump shows infinite resistance, a sure sign of a bad
pump.
What is my cheapest alternative for a new replacement pump and filter?
I can go brick and mortar store, or online whichever is the best deal,
as we have a spare car to drive while this one is down.
Thanks!
Gerard
