95 mits. galant auto 155000mi

hi, as previously noted here my car would start and stall it does run just
keeps stalling.i was told i need an engine or a valve job. after
everything was supposedly checked including compression test #1 cylinder
200lb. #2 cyl.200lb
#3 180lb and #4 180lb. now, i think it needs a transmission as it takes
forever to shift after taking off, it drags then will shift into gear.
95 galant, 155000 mi. with your expertise would you suggest i put in an
engine and tranny? thanks

why would u keep a car that long w/ that many miles? if you got a new tranny
it would probably be worth more than the car.
