Hi,
i noticed that MAFTs are advertised as improvement on Eclipse 1G and 2G,
to allow the engine work with GM ari mass sensor.

Is this of any use on non-turbo engines, or is it just for turbo units?

Best wishes of happy Christmas.

Andrea, the MAFT and GM MAF combination are really only of benefit to those
who, due to running larger turbochargers, are over-running the stock air
meter.
The GM meter and MAFT translator box are not quite linear and do require
some tuning to get dialed in.
I have been running this set up for several years without too many problems
but the Mitsubishi airflow meters do work better on cars not flowing a lot
of air.
