90 MONTERO BAD ECM--HOW TO TEST & WHERE TO GET PARTS ??

I don't want to send the ECU in for a $250 replacement; rather, I want
to repair what's wrong on the circuit board and/or just buy a
replacement circuit board.  It's my understanding that these ECU's have
a high failure rate, see this:
