Anyone know where to buy replacement brackets for 1990 Eclipse visors? All I can find are from junk yards (plastic) - just as weak. Looking for new ones, plastic or metal.
Dealer only provides complete visor assys - $100-200.
Thanks!
Harry
I just bought a set on eBay for $12 total-I am assuming they are also
from a junkyard, though. I don’t know if you might find a better kind
there--it was just chance that I found them, as I had done a general
search looking for another part I needed when I spotted the clips. I
was more than glad to pay the $12 to get rid of my Dad’s zip-tie fix
to keep the visors from flopping down! I’ll have to wait &
see if they also break easy once I get ’em. They must’ve just put
chintzy ones in for quite a while - I have a 98 galant that I recently
bought off my parents. They bought it back in 99 & since it was
mostly my mom’s ’grocery getter’ I know for a fact it got gentle
treatment--one completely cracked apart years ago & the other had the
end just snap off a bit more recently. We live in NW PA, so I wonder
if the huge variations in temperatures we get had anything to do with
it?
Either way, I have to say, those Mitsubishis are hard to beat--mine’s
10 yrs old & you still can’t find a mid-size car with better gas
mileage unless we’re talking a hybrid or something--although I’ve
noticed parts are becoming harder to find lately
