1. is there any way to avoid paying a dealership $75 to take out the radio on my 94 diamante to figure out what the code is? can i take it out myself and somehow find out the code? 2. my a/c, when the compressor is on, makes lots of squealing noise and there's what sounds to me like a loose belt sometimes going around turns...is there a belt for the power steering? for the a/c? if so, are they somehow related? tia You can avoid paying the dealership $75 by taking the radio out yourself and bringing it with the car to the dealership. They should run the serial number for free. As far as the squealing noise if the belts are not loose, a bearing may be going bad and causing the belt to slip.
