i have 2 2.0 motors i have one from a 97 galant and a 93 eclipse i was
wondering if i could take the head on the 97 and put it on the 93 block i am
also wanting to build the head up as much as i can without changing the cams
for now theres not many peformance parts out there for the 97 2.0 i was
wondering if i could order parts for the 93 head that will fit on the 97
head if so i found titanium dual valave springs and retainers i want but
i dont know what else i need to change for these parts i know the valves
need changed what kind would be good?? if theres any other parts that
need to be changed let me know or if u know any websites that has peformance
parts let me know them so i could give them a look

what are you looking to do with the car?
the '93 head will be more suited for performance but the '97 head will work
once the holes for the head bolts are reamed.
your '93 head will rev to the top of your power band and beyond with no
float so why mess with it?
if you're looking to geek up your motor there are more cost effective
methods.

theres no reason for doing this i had the 2.0 for the galant in the car and
i ate the timing belt bent all the valves witch caut the pistons and banged
em up a lil bit i dont know if it fractured the pistons and i dont wanna
chance it because the blocks are known for crank walk and id hate to put all
new pistons in it and run into that problem
what am i looking to do with the car??? what do tuners do best

you're not a tuner.....if you were, you'd be aware of the differences in the
two heads.
the '93 doesn't suffer too much from crankwalk.
unless you have a set of 272/272 cams and a reworked rev limiter, titanium
hardware and cool-man valve springs are a huge waste of cash. (you can
bounce that thing off the stock limiter every day and it will not float.)
don't try to reinvent the wheel, follow the links and lurk.
the upgrade path for your motor is tried and tested by fellow dsm freaks
since 1990.
the '97 head will fit but it need to have the sensors swapped and stud holes
reamed. the ports are also much smaller.
i'd advise you to repair the '93 head.
