1995 nissan altima: airbag light came on today, anyone know what's the reason? can I disable the airbag?

the airbag light flashes... I know the car's been ten years, and it's
said in the manual that air bag system should be inspected.

is it a big problem? how much the cost gonna be? can I disable the
airbag system?

Hi Young,
I have a Nissan Altima 94 , and today I had the same thing.
my AirBag check kept on flashing.
Did u find out what was the problem?
Could u disable it?
how much did it cost you to fix it?

Push in the door ajar sensor on the driver's side door 5-7 times in 5
seconds and the light will reset itself and no more blinking if it comes
back on you've gotta bigger problem and need to have it serviced I think
it is just a remider like an oil service like that nissan thought would
help make them money but in hindsight has probably pissed off or scared a
few customers away!
