2000 Altima - Broken front spring

We have 85000km on our 2000 GXE and the left front spring broke yesterday.
When my husband had it towed this morning, the tow truck driver said "Wow,
how weird is that. This is the second 2000 Altima I have towed today with
the exact same problem."
Anyone else out there had the same problem or know whether Nissan has a
secret warranty on this one?

I have a 1993 Altima with a broken F/L spring, but it has almost 197K miles
on it. I am not aware of any recall on your model year.

I have Nissan Altima 1994, the same problem. Where did you get a spair part
for your cars? Do you know of any website with ceap prices?
