I changed the two belts connected to the alternator on my 98 Nissan Altama.
When i went to start the car i noticed two problems.

First, the dash, power windows and locks, and air no longer work.

Second, the car will not idel by it self at first.  If i dont give it gas,
it will die.  i gas it for about 5 seconds and then it idels on its own.

I noticed that the batery fuse (100 amp) blew and i am trying to replace
it.  the prongs on the fuse are about 1.5 inches and will not come out of
the socket.

Will replacing this fuse correct both problems?  Is there somthing else i
may be over looking?

Thanks for your help.
