I'm really having a hard time with my A4......I've tried out the altima and the maxima.....they do have more cabin space...but.....do I pop for the big bucks on the Maxima? Or...do an upgrade on the Altima? I bought the 3.5 Altima and I am superbly happy with it. It kicks a.s and is almost the same car. In my view the Altima is more sporty. Go with what you really want in your heart. Or...do an upgrade on the Altima? They are both built on the same platform in Smyrna Tennessee with mostly Japanese components. The build qualty is there and the paint problems were corrected last year. So, it is your choice. I like the Altima better than the Maxima for bang for the buck. I'm 6' 6" tall, and I've owned a 2005 Altima 3.5 SE since late March. I've got 10K miles on it and I couldn't be happier. It's spacious (even with the sunroof), comfortable, and it's a rocket. I don't know why anyone would opt for the Maxima at this point.
