what a nightmare, having a brand new 05 Altima 2.5-s. At 9,200 miles, the
starter went out; stalled while driving on the fwy, it that scary enough.
When the starter wont't start or work properly, its sent the mixed signals
to the fuel system and flooded the injectors and caused the stalled. I just
towed my in this morning and have them fix. Some others non-mechanical
problems, such as AC will stays on when you blocked the outside air in,
regardless you pressed AC or not. I've gave up Nissan already, this is my
first and my last Nissan, am looking to trade in now.

Not sure if you have a 'lemon law' where you are, but you may want to
look into what your rights are.
Nissans are usually very reliable; your experience is more the
exception than the rule.

I have an 05 altima V6se. No problem with the starter yet (knock on wood).
About the AC stays on even AC light on or off. When I got the car home, i
thought that was a problem too but after reading thru the Owner Manual i
found out it was designed to be like that. If you leave it on defrost mode
the ac runs to keep the windshield from fog up even the AC light off. I
think it sucks! sometime I just want the cool air out side but can not
override it.
