I recently woke up one day to take my car to work, and the transmission
started acting wierd. I later found out that it was startign in 3rd gear,
because it is in failsafe mode due to a lack of communication with the
transmission computer module. The overdrive doesn't work, and it has
incredibly slow acceleration, which would make sense, seeing as how it
starts in 3rd gear.
Any suggestions, besides changing out the transmission computer itself?

if the trans is in failsafe there is a reason check fuses make sure all
fuses are good and fuses label ecm/tcm blown will cause power loss to trans
conrol module if all fuses are good pull tcm and open if any viable burnt
components .look at www.ecmsplus.com we repair all automotive computers
