To any 2006 Altima SE owners ...

I got mine back in Nov. '05.  Very nice looking car and fun to drive.
However, I am a bit
disappointed with the automatic transmission.  Seems to abruptely
down-shift, or shift
erratically when in the 20-30mph range.  Seems like it can't find the
right gear or just
doesn't shift smoothly.  Hard to explain.  Has anyone else experienced
this or might know
the cause.  I currently have 15k on it but its been like that since day
1.

Also... man, there is alot of plastic on this car... makes any rock hit
to the front tear the
paint right off.

I have an 06 SL with the 5 speed automatic.  I agree the car shifts a lot,
but i think its mostly to find optimum points for fuel economy.  sometimes
its annoying...

I've got an '05 and the shifting doesn't stand out in memory (tho it may
now!!)  as for the plastic - yea the front bumper is pretty big and not
very Aerodynamic.  I need to get mine replaced one of these days due to
a small accident, and when I do, I may investigate a clear bra for it.
