I have a 2003 Altima with 60,000 miles on it. Is it good practice to
frequently replace the fuel filter? If how often? I was told an
unclean filter requires the fuel pump to work harder.
Yes it is a good practice to replace it. Judging by the condition in
which I found the filter in my car after 60K, I would suggest replacing
it every 30 or 40k at the most.

I have not replaced by ever since 87K miles. It works so well.
