:? ok, I have a 96 that has an issue. While driving, the radio fuse
will blow without warning. Shortly thereafter, the dash will stop
working too b/c of another blown fuse (no working speedo, gas, all
gauges gone). No mechanic can figure this out. They all tell me to go
thru every wire nd find one that is shorted. Any ideas?? :?

Sounds like they are giving you the right advice.

Have you recently (or for that matter, ever) replaced the audio
system?  Many times aftermarket radios do not have connections for the
dash dimmer circuit or the power antenna circuit & installers simply
let those wires dangle.  As soon as the loose wire touches anything,
the fuse blows.  Start your search behind the radio if any of this
applies to you.
