I have an 04 Max 3.5 SL and an 02 Frontier 4 Cyl manual: does anyone know if
either of these vehicles use a timing belt.

In regards to the belt,  Nissan recommends changing  it at 60K miles---any
comment?

What is maintenance for a timing chain?

TIA

Timing chain is good for 105K miles. Timing belt usually needs replacement
at about 60K miles.

There is no prescribed maintenance for a timing chain at 105k miles, or any
other mileage.  Just keep up with the oil changes on the engine and the
chain should last the life of the car.

Timing chain is virtually a maintenance free item, whereas timing belt has
to be replaced periodically
