I have a Nissan Maxima SE 96 with 120K on it.  I will be moving to
California.  Does anyone has experience with such cars in Smog test of
California.

You are in luck.  California dropped the penalty tax of $395 for an out
of state car.  But, you will have to go to the DMV and get the VIN
checked and then get the car smogged.  They have dynometers in
California so it is a dynamic load test.  make sure your oil is changed
and you have a fresh tune-up on the car to pass the test.  Also, get the
car hot like driving it on the freeway before you pull it in the check
station.
