The driver side window of my 2000 Maxima makes an awful squeal /
screech / scream noise in the summer.  In the winter I don't notice
it.  Anyone have any ideas to fix it?  Silicone spray, maybe?

Thanks!

Yep, try some silicone spray on the rubber tracks/weatherstrip the window
slides in. Doesn't hurt anything to regularly lubricate all the door
rubbers with this stuff either.

Maxima's have an ongoing need for silicone spray, it seems, on the
windows after several years.  Usually needed when the windows slow
down and threaten to stop.

Use "dry" type silicone and spray it into the tracks.  Try not to get
it on the glass; it'll smear up.

I did the silicone thing a few times and it kept coming back.  I ended
up taking the door panel off and greasing the tracks and the slide area
with silicone grease and now the problem is gone.  Another poster
discussed the silicone getting on the glass and it is true.  It is a
pain to get off the glass so be careful or you will spend some time
getting it off the glass.
