Slight Rattle Heard When Accelerating

My car: 2001 Maxima SE Anniversary Edition - Automatic

Like the title says I have this annoying rattling sound. It's more of
a vibrating sound than a rattle. It seems to occur more frequently
when the car is accelerating. Typically the sound is heard when the
car is traveling at less than 60 kph and the tach reads less than
2000. After that, the sound disappears. That could be because road
noise and engine noise are drowning it out though. It sound is  not
that loud.

I'm thinking it might be the resonator in the muffler. I still have
the original factory one. The car has about 73,000 kms on it.

Any advice appreciated.

Hi,
Look under the car-check the drive shafts, to see if anything is rubbing or
wrapped around the shaft.  Also check the exhaust system rubber hangers,
etc.

We just got a foot of snow so this is going to be hard to do at the
moment :-). I think you maybe onto something though because last night
I noticed the sound when I was clearing the snow off the car. It was
hard to actually pinpoint the location of the sound because the
parking lot I was in was pretty echoey. I'm going to try and do a
proper inspection today. Find somewhere a little more open and snow
free.

I bought the car new and have been using premium gas, 91 octane,
exclusively. The rattle sounds too low in pitch to be pinging. I'm
still on the same tank of gas as when the sound started. It could be a
bad batch I guess.
