I HAVE A 97 MAXIMA WITH 123K MILES.RECENTLY I TRIED TURNING THE CAR ON AND
IT WOULD JUST TURN ON FOR A FEW SECONDS AND DIE OUT.THEN WHEN ATTEMPTING TO
TURN IT ON, IT WOULD ONLY MISFIRE AND THIS HAPPENED FOR 2 DAYS.FINALLY ON
THE THIRD DAY I TURNED THE IGNITION ON AND CRANKED IT FOR ABOUT A MINUTE
AND GOT THE CAR TO TURN ON WITH SMELLS OF FRESH GAS OUT OF ENGINE FOR A
COUPLE OF MINUTES.NOW THE CAR TURNS ON/OFF WITH NO PROBLEM BUT MY SERVICE
ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON CONSTANTLLY AND THE SEEMS TO LACK A LOT OF POWER AND
ACCELERATION ALL THE TIME.
ANY HELP.... I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S CAUSING THIS PROBLEM.

Have the codes read and tell us what they are. Could have been an
injector stuck open or a dozen other things.

WELL,THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT WILL NOT COME ON ANY MORE AFTER ABOUT 4
DAYS OF DRIVING IT.I DID HAVE A MECHANIC TRY TO GET ANY CODES OFF THE CAR
BUT EVERYTHING CHECKED OUT OK.
SHOULD I LEAVE IT ALONE AND WAIT FOR ANY FURTHER PROBLEMS TO SURFACE IN
THE FUTURE????
