A  long time ago, my wife tried to back out of the garage before the door
had opened all the way and hung the power antenna and bent it at the base.
I managed to straighten it and it's half way worked until the other night
when it broke off right at the base with it all the way extended.  So where
is the best place to buy a new power antenna?  Are they very easy to
install?  Do I need the entire power assembly of just the telescopic
antenna?  Thanks much in advance.

You can just replace the mast. Available from the Nissan dealer.

Is that the best place to buy from?  I would guess that my local dealer
would be pretty high.  Anyone bought one of those recently?

I just got a mast for a '96 last month from Courtesy Nissan.  It was $29.88.

How hard was it to install?  Power antenna mast like mine?

www.crutchfield.com
has been a good source for me.

OH well, I called my local Nissan dealer and they said $30 for the mast and
$30 to put it on unless they have to take the power antenna assembly apart
to get better access to it.  So I'm headed out there to get it installed.

I went to the dealer only to find out that my motor is not working when the
radio is turned off or on so I need the entire power antenna assembly.  I
thought I'd take a look on ebay and found a bunch of auctions for the entire
kit like this one.

and I may buy one of those and try that.
