I have a P505 code on my 2000 Maxima SE at 128.4K miles. My research say this is as Idle Control Valve/Aux Air Valve. SOunds resonable as the idle is bad (1500 RPM). I'd like to know the approx. cost to have it replaced if anyone has a clue. I don't think this is something I want to do myself. Thanks! The IACV is located beneath your air intake after the air cleaner. Yo will find it next to the EGR volume control valve. It is a simpl remove and replace. Just disconnect the wiring harness and remove th two bolts. Put a small amount of motor oil on the o ring seal to stic to the engine and then put the new valve on. The part will be aroun $230 and the dealer will charge $150 to replace -- socal1 |
