Car Forum / Nissan / Nissan Maxima / March 20061995 nissan maxima struts issue
I just replaced the struts on this maxima, everything went fine according to thr instructions.but.....when I started to drive it the car bucks and shimmies badly, only under power. If I let off ont he pedal it smothes out and seems to be aligned fine either when driving or brakng. I checked and everything is tight any ideas? Did you take the drive axles out of the front knuckle assembly? If yes, are you sure you got the axle ends back into the hub and the splines are all true?? Even though you might think it's still aligned, I'll bet you threw it out of toe in/out and out of camber. I've never replaced struts without having the car realigned. Chris 90 & 94 GXE's |
